Everyone deserves to experience the joy of expressing themself visually. Making marks opens the door to further artful expression and offers a healthy and healing outlet to the pressures of modern life. I have a special interest in encouraging those that don’t have a lot of background in art-making to give it a try. My approach is designed to get you mixing paint and creating simple imagery right away. I’ve found that a combination of transparent and opaque media, including watercolor, acrylic, chalk pastel, and oil crayons allows us to bypass the need for learning specific techniques and go directly to image-making. Relax and let it flow. The two-hour class will allow time for a demonstration, painting, and sharing work.

“Art has always been the raft onto which we climb to save our sanity. I don’t see a different purpose for it now.”
